Every product claims to be life-changing. Every video says, “You HAVE to buy this.”

So we decided to stop wondering. We bought some of TikTok Shop’s biggest viral products — from beauty gadgets and fitness hacks to weird candy trends — and tested every single one ourselves.

Some honestly surprised us. Others, we couldn’t believe people were actually buying.

TikTok Makes Everything Look Like a Miracle

Scroll through your For You Page long enough and you’ll notice a pattern. Every product has dramatic before-and-after videos. Every creator swears it changed their life. Every comment says, “Adding to cart.”

But do these products actually work outside of a perfectly edited 20-second video? That was exactly what we wanted to find out.

The Purple Teeth Whitening Color Corrector Was Our First Surprise

The very first product we tested was the viral Purple Teeth Whitening Color Corrector. TikTok is full of videos claiming this bright purple toothpaste can make your teeth appear noticeably whiter in about 30 seconds by using color-correcting technology.

Honestly, we didn’t expect much. The toothpaste looked almost unnaturally purple, and it looked ridiculous while we were using it. But once we wiped it off, we all noticed a visible difference during our test.

It wasn’t magic. It didn’t permanently whiten teeth in thirty seconds. But we understood why so many people were talking about it online. It ended up being one of our favorite products of the day.

The Viral Jawline Chin Strap Felt Exactly Like We Expected

Next up was the famous Jawline Chin Strap, the overnight face wrap that’s supposed to help define your jawline while you sleep.

Putting it on was hilarious. Sleeping in it? We honestly couldn’t imagine it. While we only tested it briefly and can’t speak to long-term use, our first impression wasn’t exactly convincing. It definitely gave us a few laughs — whether it gives anyone a sharper jawline over time is something we’d leave to long-term users and clinical evidence, not a few minutes in our studio.

The Castor Oil Belly Button Patch Left Us With More Questions Than Answers

One of the boldest claims came from the viral Castor Oil Belly Button Patch, which claimed it could help melt fat simply by wearing it overnight. That sounded optimistic.

After applying it, we quickly noticed something else: it was incredibly sticky. By the end of filming, removing it hurt more than putting it on. Whether someone enjoys using it is completely up to them, but based on our experience, the removal process was the most memorable part.

The EMS Ab Stimulator Was… Intense

The viral EMS Ab Stimulator promises electrical muscle stimulation while you relax. Some TikTok videos even make it look like an effortless shortcut to stronger abs.

When we turned ours on, we immediately understood why people react so dramatically. It definitely created strong muscle contractions during our test. Mostly, though, we spent the next few minutes laughing, yelling, and questioning why we’d volunteered to try it. If nothing else, it definitely got our attention.

The Vibration Plate Was Way More Fun Than Expected

One product that genuinely surprised us was the viral Vibration Plate Exercise Machine. Standing on it felt strange at first. Then the vibration speed increased. Then everyone wanted another turn.

Whether you’re using it as part of a fitness routine or simply because it’s fun, it quickly became one of our favorite products to test. Sometimes the products you expect the least from end up being the biggest surprises.

TikTok Candy Is Its Own Universe

Half of TikTok Shop feels like candy. So naturally, we bought a ridiculous amount of it. Some looked amazing. Some tasted amazing. Some looked much better than they actually tasted.

The Viral Extreme Sour Gushers Lived Up to Their Name

One candy that absolutely delivered was the viral Extreme Sour Gushers. The coating was intensely sour — much more than we expected. Once we got past that first shock, though, they turned into one of the more enjoyable candies we tested. TikTok didn’t exaggerate this one.

The Freeze-Dried Skittles Were an Easy Win

Few TikTok snacks have become as recognizable as Freeze-Dried Skittles. They’re crunchy instead of chewy, lighter than normal Skittles, and somehow even more flavorful. After one bite, we immediately understood why they’ve become so popular. Simple, different, and really fun to eat.

The Blue Raspberry Sour Gummy Slime Was Exactly What It Sounds Like

The viral Blue Raspberry Sour Gummy Slime combined gummy candy with an incredibly sticky sour slime coating. It was messy, extremely sour, and somehow still kind of fun. If you love sour candy, you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more than someone with a low sour tolerance.

The Viral Cotton Candy Marshmallows Didn’t Taste Like Cotton Candy

We were genuinely excited to try the famous Cotton Candy Marshmallows. The texture was exactly what you’d expect from a gourmet marshmallow — soft, fluffy, fresh. The only surprise was the flavor: it didn’t really remind us of cotton candy as much as we’d expected. Not bad, just different from what we had imagined.

The Mystery Crunch Candy Turned Into a Challenge

Naturally, we turned it into a competition — one guess meant someone had to work out, another involved Valentine’s Day. It sounded almost too good to be true. Then we watched it work. The curl came out surprisingly well, it was easy to use, and because the hot barrel stays enclosed, it also felt much less intimidating than a traditional curling iron. This quickly earned a spot among our favorite TikTok beauty products.

The Viral Clay Lip Stain Wasn’t Quite What We Expected

The Clay Lip Stain looked incredible in TikTok videos. In real life, it took a little more practice. It definitely stained — our hands proved that almost immediately. But getting an even finish on the lips wasn’t quite as effortless as the videos made it appear. It wasn’t terrible, just not nearly as foolproof as we’d hoped.

The Body Glitter Puff Added Plenty of Sparkle

The viral Body Glitter Puff promised instant shimmer for your skin and hair. During the day, it looked pretty. Once we turned the lights down, the sparkle became much more noticeable. It wasn’t quite as dramatic as some TikTok videos suggested, but it still created a really fun effect for parties, concerts, or special events.

The Magnetic Eyelashes Took Some Practice

The viral Magnetic Eyelashes looked incredibly simple online. Our first attempt was not so much. Once we figured out how they were supposed to line up, things got much easier. Like many beauty products, there’s definitely a learning curve — after a few tries, we could understand why so many people enjoy using them.

The TIRTIR Cushion Foundation Ended on a High Note

Our final beauty product was the viral TIRTIR Cushion Foundation, one of the biggest makeup products on TikTok. The finish looked smooth, the packaging felt premium. Our only mistake was ordering the wrong shade.

Even though the color wasn’t a perfect match for us, we could still see why the TIRTIR Cushion Foundation has developed such a loyal following online. Sometimes choosing the right shade is just as important as choosing the right product.

So… Which TikTok Products Are Actually Worth Buying?

After testing everything from the Purple Teeth Whitening Color Corrector, EMS Ab Stimulator, Vibration Plate, Automatic Hair Curler, and TIRTIR Cushion Foundation to viral snacks like Freeze-Dried Skittles, Crystal Candy, and Extreme Sour Gushers, one thing became very clear.

TikTok isn’t always trying to sell you junk. Some products genuinely impressed us. Some were overhyped. Some were simply fun because of the experience they created.

That’s probably why TikTok shopping has become so addictive. You’re not just buying products. You’re buying curiosity. Sometimes that curiosity leads to an amazing discovery. Sometimes it leaves you ripping a sticky patch off your stomach while your sisters laugh at you.
